The Eaton House The Manor Girls, led by new Headmistress Mrs Claire Fildes, triumphed in the 125th year of Eaton House Schools’ existence, winning 9 scholarships and 2 exhibitions to a range of top schools.
Mrs Fildes, who joined the school in September, 2022, after a tenure as Deputy Head of Bute House, is thrilled with the results. She believes that they are the combination of a culture of academic excellence and wellbeing, in which the individual is nurtured, celebrated and supported. “The girls all worked very hard and all played to their strengths,” she said. “It is especially pleasing that we gained awards across the spectrum, from Art and Drama to Sports and Academics. We are very proud of all the girls as they have all gained places at excellent schools where they will be truly happy.”
This year, girls received offers from a large number of top schools, including Alleyn’s, Brighton College, Downe House, Emanuel School, Francis Holland, Headington High School, JAGS, Royal Russell, Putney High School, Streatham & Clapham High School, St Mary’s Ascot, Wimbledon High School, Woldingham, Wycombe Abbey, and more.
