An Educational Superhighway from 2+

Eaton House Belgravia is a school with an unsurpassed heritage, founded in 1897. Among its alumni are a Prime Minister, Oscar winners, authors and directors. The school serves as an academic superhighway, equipping boys with the skills and support they need for the 7+ and 8+ exams as a feeder for Westminster, St Paul’s and King’s College Wimbledon. Eaton House Belgravia leads with gold standard well-being, traditional academic excellence and an entrepreneurial spirit. In our caring, fun-filled Nursery, we offer schooling from age 2+ through a process of compound learning that builds in a cumulative and responsible manner. This approach allows boys to soar academically when they enter Reception at 4+.

Why Choose Eaton House Belgravia?

  • Eaton House Belgravia is a school with an unsurpassed heritage and an academic superhighway, giving boys aged 2-8 the skills and support that they need to ignite their potential for the challenging 7+ and 8+ examinations.
  • We are a Westminster, St Paul’s, King’s College Wimbledon and Sussex House feeder, and have sent generations of boys to top schools. In 2024, 16 offers were received to these four schools alone, and all the boys left for excellent schools.
  • ‘School from 2+’ provides a longer lead-in for success. In the Nursery, compound learning will be implemented in an accumulative and responsible manner by our passionate and dedicated teachers, alongside rich and meaningful learning experiences.
  • In the Reception Class at 4+, boys receive personalised support in both their form and House with engaging and interactive teaching methods.
  • Eaton House Belgravia encompasses traditional academic excellence with a dynamic, innovative and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • A ‘gold standard’ of wellbeing is the foundation of all we do, as happy children are learning children. A strong and supportive House system and daily collaboration with parents forms a system of care that is second to none.
  • New for autumn 2024, we have built an inspiring new Library, an Innovation Centre and a Designated Podcast Studio, to allow the boys to build confidence and express themselves.

Meet Our Alumni

One of our earliest alumni to achieve great things, Harold Macmillan, 1st Earl of Stockton, OM, PC, FRS, served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1957 to 1963. After a speedy rise through the ranks of the Conservative Party, Macmillan took charge of the country during a time of economic turmoil. Due to the state of the country, he even told Queen Elizabeth II that he did not think that the new government would last longer than six weeks. In fact, Macmillan was able to turn the fortunes of the UK around, raising employment rates and boosting the economy, coining the phrase ‘you’ve never had it so good.’

Transition to Boys’ Pre-prep: Do Most Children Go to the KG?

Yes, seeing families arrive in the nursery and go right through the school creates a wonderful atmosphere. We get to know the children often before they start and we can watch them progress through the school. Parents and KG teachers always comment on how smooth the transition is for the children who come to our nursery. The positives of being on one site are hugely beneficial.

Can we apply for both EHB and EHTM?

Yes. We will request parent’s preference before offers are made. If there is availability spaces can usually be transferred between schools but this is at the discretion of the Headteachers.

When are formal offers made?

Formal offers are made around 12 months before entry to Eaton House Belgravia.
