Eaton House Belgravia is a school that prides itself on academic brilliance and well-rounded pupils. We are always looking for ways to showcase their talent, inside and outside of the classroom! Art is a fantastic way for the boys to explore their creative side and is not only a popular subject, but also a hobby for many of our pupils.
As a result of the impressive artwork that is produced by the boys at Eaton House Belgravia, the school decided to enter the Young Art Competition. Young Art is an annual exhibition of children’s paintings, drawings and prints, held for one week a year at the Royal College of Art. The exhibition not only showcases the work of exciting young artists, but also helps raise money for a fantastic cause. Over the last 30 years, Young Art has raised more than £1,250,000 towards vital research into childhood cancers and for clinical trials at UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health.
We are delighted to announce that five children from Eaton House Belgravia have been selected to display their work in the Royal College of Art exhibition, ready to be judged by a panel of leading contemporary artists. Many congratulations and the best of luck to Nathan Virk (Commended), Aiden Fiber, Theodore Tie, Ernesto Montagne and Andrei Korolev. These talented pupils are spread between Year 3 to Year 6, representing both the Pre-Prep and Prep schools at EHB.
The exhibition is open to school and public viewing from the 26th to 28th of April. The prize giving for our budding young artists shall take place on Wednesday 26th April for the Year 3s and Thursday 27th April for Years 4-6. We are very excited to see the wonderful work of our pupils going up against some of the best young artists from other schools – congratulations boys!
