Academics

The acquisition of reading and writing skills is key to future academic success and hence a significant amount of the timetable is dedicated to English, with all boys reading to a teacher every day. Arithmetic also features strongly, and by the end of the Pre-Preparatory School boys are over one year ahead of National Curriculum levels.

The remainder of the curriculum is balanced and boys are taught History, Geography, Science, French, R.S., Reasoning, Art/D.T., Games, Music, Drama and Chess. Boys are taught in their form rooms for most subjects, but make full use of the new ICT lab, Science lab, Library, Theatre, Gym, Music Room and outdoor wildlife area and pond.
