At Eaton House Preparatory School we understand the importance of regular breaks in the day so have timetabled morning and afternoon breaks outside every day in the green spaces five minutes’ walk from school.
We know the value of ensuring the boys have assess to a substantial and varied choice of experiences, challenges and activities through our extensive range of extra-curricular clubs and societies. These form an enjoyable and important part of school life, offering a wide range choice to cater for all the different interests our year groups may have.
Following a short break at 4.30pm each day, after-school activities will run from 4.45pm – 5.45pm, Monday to Friday. Boys can change from one club or society to another during the course of the year. There is also homework class for those who wish to make use of it, also from 4.45pm – 5.45pm every day.
Residential trips form part of the curriculum for all boys and are planned to support the termly day trips.
Currently our trips are as follows:
Year 3 – Hilltop in Sheringham, Norfolk
Year 4 – Kingswood on the Isle of Wight
Year 5 – Paris to practise their French and soak up the culture
Year 6 – Osmington Bay with a science focus
Year 7 – an outward bound visit to Wales or The Lake District
Year 8 – Iceland on a walking and adventure trip
Along side these trips there will also be the opportunity for boys to join various sports tours both in the UK and further afield.
