Eaton House Manor Nursery Autumn Term 2016 Welcome letter

Wednesday, September 7th, 2016

Dear Parents,

Welcome back to you all and I hope you had a wonderful summer. I would like to extend a warm welcome to the
new Yellow Room children and their families to the nursery. We hope your little ones settle easily and start to love
their time at nursery.

Communication

We have an open door policy where you are very welcome to speak to the class teacher and assistants for a few
minutes each day but please arrange a different time for something that might take longer to discuss. We will email
all correspondence and in addition to this, I will send all initial letters and the Nursery calendar home on paper. Do
please let us know if your email address has changed. You will also find a white board near the entrance to each
classroom telling you about the weekly Show and Tell theme and other information.

Volunteers

We appreciate any volunteers who would like to come and read to the children, help out with swimming or out on
school visits. The children love to share their time at Nursery with Mummy and Daddy or any other special person.

WOW observation

As part of the Early Years curriculum we make many observations on the children, however it is very important that
we also know about any significant achievements outside of Nursery. This can be anything from recognising a
number in the street, to riding a bike or staying in their bed all night. We have a WOW observation form for you to
complete and return back to your class teacher. This can be done at any time during the term.

Dates for your diary

Parents’ Evening will be held on Wednesday 23rd November when you can discuss your child’s progress. Details will
be given nearer the time. We also have a Long Weekend this term, Friday 18th November.

Lastly, we would really appreciate it if you could you bring in old newspapers, plastic bags and recycling for junk
modelling.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to come and see me.

Kind regards

Miss Roosha

Eaton House Manor Nursery Spring Term 2015 Welcome letter

Thursday, January 8th, 2015

Dear Parents,

Happy New Year to you all and I hope you had a fantastic Christmas and a lovely break. We would like to welcome the new Blue Room children and their families to the Nursery and I know Miss Alina is looking forward to the busy term ahead.

Communication We have an open door policy where you are very welcome to speak to the class teacher and assistants for a few minutes each day but please arrange a different time for something that might take longer to discuss. We will email all correspondence and in addition to this, I will send all initial letters and the Nursery calendar home on paper. Do please let us know if your email address has changed. You will also find a white board near the entrance to each classroom telling you about the weekly Show and Tell theme and other information. There is a large white board outside the Nursery entrance under the lean-to for more general information.

Volunteers We appreciate any volunteers who would like to come and read to the children, help out with cooking, swimming or out of school visits. The children love to share their time at Nursery with Mummy and Daddy or any other special person. We also need weekly helpers with swimming to the Manor pool on a Tuesday afternoon.

WOW observation As part of the Early Years curriculum we make many observations on the children, however it is very important that we also know about any significant achievements outside of Nursery. This can be anything from recognising a number in the street, to riding a bike or staying in their bed all night. We have a WOW observation form for you to complete and return back to your class teacher. This can be done at any time during the term.

Afternoons The Bursar has asked me to remind you that a cancellation of a requested session will be charged in full for the first half of the term. If you add a further session to those on your original request list after the start of the term but before half-term, the full term’s fee rate will be charged. If you add a further session at any point after half-term, you will be charged half the term’s fee rate.

Parents’ Evening will be held on Wednesday 11th March when you can discuss your child’s progress. Details will be given nearer the time.

We will be packing away all our resources at the end of this term as we will be preparing for the building of our new Nursery. It will be sad to say goodbye to a building that has housed so many children at the start of their Eaton House lives though equally exciting to be getting a sparkly new facility. Watch this space!

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to come and see me in the Green Room or email me at

Eaton House Manor Nursery Summer Term Newsletter

Thursday, April 18th, 2013

Dear Parents,

A very warm welcome to you all, I hope you had a lovely Easter! We are looking forward to the busy and
hopefully sunny term ahead. The calendar for the term is attached. Dates of note are: Parents’ Evening on Thursday 20th June 5.00 – 7.00pm, our fete on Wednesday 26th June and Sports Day on Tuesday 9th July.

We would like to welcome Miss Helena to the Yellow Room who will be with us for the term from the Girls’ School.

Guinea Pigs
The Girls’ School guinea pigs are coming to visit while the building works are in progress. We will be looking for a home for them every holiday. Please see Miss Sarah in the Yellow Room if you would like to have them to stay.

Communication
We have an open door policy where you are very welcome to speak to the class teacher and assistants for
a few minutes each day. Please arrange a different time for something that might take longer to discuss.
The majority of correspondence will be emailed to one parent so please keep us informed of any address
changes and let me know as soon as possible if the family is not receiving emails from us.

Sign In Sheets
We will no longer be asking you to sign your child in and out every day. This will now be the responsibility of the class teacher. Please make sure your child shakes hands with their teacher or an assistant in the room when entering and leaving every day so that we know they have left with you, or their designated carer.

Volunteers
The children love to share their time at nursery with a close relative. We appreciate any volunteers who
would like to come and read to the children, help out with cooking, swimming or out of school visits so do contact your child’s teacher if you feel you have something to offer.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to come and see me.

Kind regards,
